Diagnostic Frameworks

Diagnostic Tools to Optimize the Therapeutic Protocols

The tools which are collated here utilize the application of five categories of observations (physical/movement/sensory processing/behavior/cognition) for isolating which developmental layer (all living things/animal/vertebrate/mammal/primate) would most benefit from specific activities, exercises or therapeutic interventions with the intent to encourage further maturation or global enhancement of our structure and function.

Pick a category where you have some information (if you are a classroom teacher these would more likely be sensory processing, behavior or cognition, if a gym teacher probably physical and movement) and you will then find observations by developmental layer as well as other tools that have utility with this model. Once you have isolated a developmental layer, you can then find the therapeutic tactics associated with that layer in the menu selections on this webpage:
THERAPEUTIC OPTIONS

Observations based on the physical appearance of the body, or self-reporting of physical issues:
PHYSICAL ASSESSMENTS

Observations based on how the client/patient/child moves, their level of activity and what activities they like and prefer to avoid:
MOVEMENT ASSESSMENTS

Observations based on how well sensory information is acquired and managed:
SENSORY PROCESSING ASSESSMENTS

Observations based on how the client/patient behaves – how they react/respond to their surroundings:
BEHAVIORAL ASSESSMENTS

Observations based on cognition:
COGNITIVE ASSESSMENTS
